I design and run cloud infrastructure in regulated environments. At BIS I designed CI/CD from scratch for a trading platform. Greenfield architecture on a Windows stack where nothing standard worked. At Roche I led a team building an ML platform for medical qualifications. At Sygnum I set up SRE for Switzerland's first regulated crypto bank. At Google I migrated internal services nobody wanted to migrate. At Hilti I built the DevOps team from scratch, Switzerland and India. Every engagement starts the same way: I walk in, figure out what's broken, fix it, document it, train the team, walk out.
- Cloud architecture: AWS, Azure, multi-cloud, hybrid
- CI/CD and Infrastructure as Code: Terraform, CDK, GitOps
- SRE: monitoring, incident response, release automation
- Team building. I've formed teams at Roche, Hilti, Sygnum.
- Communication. I talk to boards and to engineers. Same clarity.
How I work
Contractor or consultant. Usually 6 to 18 months. I take ownership of a platform, a team, or a migration. I deliver working systems, documentation, and runbooks. When your people are ready to run it, I leave. No dependency. That's the point.
